CCS Media has reported an accelerated revenue growth of £85 million in the first six months of 2017, an 18 per cent year on year increase.
The reseller prides itself on focusing on its people with a determined and continued focus on growth, in terms of both workforce and office locations. The company boasts an ‘exemplary’ staff retention with learning and development of skill continuing to be a number one priority. With apprentice academies already well established in Bradford and Slough, CCS has its eyes set on opening another later this year.
Deputy MD, James Hardy believes that the continued growth and success of the business is down to “the valued contribution of all employees.” He also says that fully automated monthly billing systems, that support the services aggregation business unit, have attributed to the growth.
James said, “This is very much the result of our teams working together collectively. The top line numbers are really encouraging and show we are on track to reach £250 million within five years, with all the underlying activities and outcomes proving that we continue to build the business from strong foundations and robust long term business practice. Our transactional customers in the first half reached 9,859 and average spend per customer increased 33 per cent year on year, with all product groups showing significant growth, especially our contractual based business. Although the market does hold uncertainty at broader macro level, ultimately our business continues to grow predictably and in conjunction with big investment into our people, process and systems.
“Our people get access to constant industry soft-skills and role training with the option of academic role related learning. We have engaged in more organisational learning in the first half of 2017 than ever before; this isn’t just formal learning but multi-level collaboration and feedback sessions that allow us to continue to innovate.
With the news of CCS Media’s performance so far, James is looking forward to seeing record breaking figures at the end of the year. He concludes, “We are excited and positive about the remainder of 2017. We will continue to develop some of the extremely successful programs such as the academies and employee career paths, with further investment scheduled for ever evolving positive-user technologies and working practices across the business for our employees. Socially and charitably, we have several events coming up in the next six months so there’s plenty going on beyond the day-to-day running of the business.”
